Cut up to 79% of the solar heat gain through your windows!
The Heat Busters has joined forces with the “World’s Finest Solar Window Film” manufacturer, Sun-Gard.
Don’t invest thousands of dollars on replacement windows! Sun-Gard Solar Control Films can cool off those “hot spot” rooms and drastically reduce the fading of your furniture and carpets by blocking up to 99% of damaging UV light. But most importantly, it will lower your electric bill!
What Is Window Film?
It’s a high performance polyester film that is applied directly to the glass surface to enhance the performance of glass. Sun-Gard Window Film is a laminate of strong polyester and metallized coatings bonded by adhesives that provide significant solar insulation for all types of glass. Film can be clear, colored, or patterned to blend with various design schemes. Various thicknesses are available for solar, safety, or security applications.
High-tech films are manufactured by using a state of the art sputtering process that applies metal alloys to the base film. Layers are assembled and finished with a strong scratch-resistant coating. Sun-Gard films are available in both reflective and non-reflective finishes.
By applying the micro-thin film to glass windows and doors, troublesome problems associated with the popular open look can be controlled. Depending on the film selected, Sun-Gard can cut from 12 percent to 93 percent of the incoming light, eliminate up to 99.9 percent of the harmful ultraviolet radiation to protect fabrics and finishes, and cut up to 79 percent of the solar heat gained through the glass.
What are the benefits?
Today’s window films enhance aesthetics while increasing indoor comfort and reducing utility costs. The U.S. consumes the energy equivalent of millions of barrels of oil everyday, the application of Sun-Gard Window Film is one of the most effective and economical methods of controlling this energy loss and increasing indoor comfort.
Glass windows are notorious as energy wasters, and architects and design professionals can justify their extensive use only by incorporating some degree of solar protection. Double and triple pane windows help, but may not be as effective as window film, despite their much higher cost.
Shutters are nice, but they hide the beauty of the view and darken a room when closed. Shades also block much of the outside view when in use. Draperies, while adding design appeal to the room, aren’t much help in controlling energy loss even when closed. Window film alone offers protection from the sun while maintaining the full appeal of the unobstructed window.
Provide increased indoor comfort throughout the year, reduce energy consumption by cutting heat gain, protect fabrics and finishes, and reduce glare with Sun-Gard Window Films.
